Lisetta Landoni is born in Addis Abeba. In 1958 she completes her studies at the Drama Academy of Piccolo Teatro in Milan. She starts playing with Dario Fo company, then with Gino Cervi and Massimo Girotti. She also works as a model and in tv shows.
After a long pause dedicated to her family, in 1975 she started yoga practice with Piera Scartabelli and she attends seminars with André van Lysbeth, that she believes her true Teacher. She learns further pranayama and kriya yoga techniques reading rare texts by Swami Sathyananda of Monghyr and Swami Gitananda Giri of Pondicherry.
For 16 years she has directed the monthly magazine, founded by herself, "Secondo Natura Erbe" on medicatives plants, collaborating also with important italian writers and universitities, both italian and foreigners, researching in this field. She published also a handbook on ayurvedic massage.
In 1980 she founds her first Yoga School.
She discovers the work of Iyengar, which impresses her for the precision and accuracy of the positions. A true inspiration for her work, which she based on attention to the detail, on development on pranayama, and on the techniques of kriya.

Lisetta has build up a solid collaboration with Umberto Pelizzari's Apnea Academy, to teach pranayama techniques to apnea practioners. She also applies these techniques in the rehabilitation from breathing diseases, presenting the results of her work in many Milan medical centers. |
